What does this court do?

This is a court which deals with young people under the age of 18, or those who were under the age of 18 when the alleged offence happened. The court deals with two matters, one is relating to the care and protection of children and young people, and the other is regarding criminal cases concerning children and young people.

In a care and protection matter, the court can make many orders such as interim, supervision and contact orders and many others.

Who can appear?

In care and protection matters, children under the age of 18 can appear and in criminal matters the children are to be under 18 when the alleged offence happened.

Court Location

In Sydney the court is located on Glebe Point Road, Glebe.

Outside of Sydney the court has six locations namely: Bidura, Broadmeadow, Campbelltown, Illawarra, Parramatta, Woy Woy and Wyong.
