Social Security Appeals Tribunal

What does this Tribunal do and who can appear?

The tribunal hears and reviews decisions by people who interests have been affected by a Centrelink decision or a Child Support Agency decision. A Centrelink application can be lodged at any time after a review of the original decision has been made by a Centrelink Authorised Review Officer.

For a review of a Child Support Agency decision to occur it must be reviewed by a CSA Objections Officer. A Child Support Appeal must be lodged within 28 days of receiving an objection decision.

Tribunal's Location

The Tribunal has an office in each capital city in Australia except Darwin. The National Office is based in Melbourne at 24th Floor, 500 Collins St, Melbourne. And Sydney's office is at the HSBC Centre Level 20, 580 George Street, Sydney.
